Iris reticulata subsp. isikguneri

From the ‘An Iris Field Trip’ series.

A field trip to the south east of Turkey was accomplished to find some Iris species in February, 2019. We were looking for three particular species and in the first two days, we have found them all. They were perfectly flowering. Sketches of these species were prepared during this field trip, and final illustrations were completed at my studio in March, 2019.

I am very happy to say that in August, 2020 this species is described as a new subspecies and named after me as –  Iris reticulate subsp. isikguneri.
